ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Student Life is centered around the various clubs and organizations.  Leadership opportunities are available through the organization of each club.

Student Council is an organization made up of representatives from all occupational programs.  This organization works on projects throughout the year to benefit the College and its students. The members of Student Council meet monthly.  Student Council develops a budget for the entire college and disperses activity funds to other clubs and organizations.  Student Council sponors all club leaders in participating in the Fall Leadership program aimed at building leadership skills.

Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) is the national organiation for business technology students.

The National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) is an honor organization for outstanding students enrollmed in occupational, vocational, or technical programs.

Skills USA (formerly VICA) is a national student organization that serves trade, industrial, technical and allied heath students with membership open to any student interested in personal and professional development.

Respiratory Educational Student Practitioners (REP) was formed as a vehicle in which the interest of repiratory therapy students might be represented at the Georgia state Level.

Student Practical Nurses Association (SPNA) Promotes the practical nursing program through leadership and personal growth for the student nurses by participation in local and state activities.

The Bridge Club is an organization that support learners while they progress from developmental or provisional status to graduates.

The Heart of Georiga Technical College Alumni Association assists HGTC in being of benefit to alumni and current students, by fostering a spirit of loyalty to HGTC and coordinating activities of alumni in support of the college.
