Members sponsor various annual events and manage community service and institutional improvement projects. Students interested in serving on the council should contact their advisor.
Students are encouraged to participate in campus organizations to build leadership and service capabilities and further their professional development. Student organizations exist to offer opportunities for fellowship, in-field or related educational programs, stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence and continuing education, field trips, and local and state competition.

The Phi Theta Kappa honor society recognizes and encourages scholarship among associate degree students.
