Most GHSU programs begin only one term each year. The application fee is nonrefundable, so before you click the "Submit" button, please review the chart below to make sure you've applied for the correct term, by the appropriate deadline, for your desired program.
Please note that GHSU does not offer freshman or sophomore courses. Lower-division prerequisite courses must be completed at another institution prior to GHSU enrollment.

Use this online application to apply for all undergraduate degree programs. Complete all parts that pertain to you.
The $50 application fee must be paid online with a credit/debit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express). This fee is nonrefundable. Once payment is authorized, your application is on its way to the Georgia Health Sciences University, and you can no longer make changes to it.
Upon receipt of your electronic application, a confirmation e-mail will be generated and sent to the e-mail address you provided. Once you have received this confirmation e-mail please proceed by submitting your supporting documentation. The following must be submitted by the application deadline before your application will be considered:
An official transcript from EACH college and university attended.
This includes any transient courses, joint enrollment, and transfer work.
Transcripts should be mailed to GHSU's OAA directly from the Registrar's office of the institution.
Applicants may also deliver or mail official transcripts to GHSU's OAA if the transcript remains in the original, unopened, sealed and stamped/signed envelope from the Registrar's office at the institution.

Submit two references on the Georgia Health Sciences University Admissions Reference Form. The individuals you indicate as references on your application will be sent an e-mail with instructions for completing the online reference form. Online submission is required. If you have any problems or your references have any problems accessing or submitting the form online please contact an admissions counselor at (706) 721-2725.
Applicants whose first language is not English must submit official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores. Minimum scores of 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based), or 79 (Internet-based) are required for admissions consideration, but do not ensure acceptance. TOEFL scores must be less than two years old. Contact TOEFL/Educational Testing Service, PO Box 6155, Princeton, NJ 08541-6155, USA.
College of Allied Health Sciences only:
SAT or ACT scores are required for applicants to some programs (see program's admission requirements at www.georgiahealth.edu/admissions/undergraduate_admissions.html for additional details). The only method GHSU accepts SAT or ACT scores are directly from the testing services. We will not accept scores received on high school or college transcripts. The Georgia Health Sciences University institutional code is 5406 for SAT scores or 0836 for ACT scores. These scores must be received prior to the application deadline to be considered.
Current CPR and first aid certification is required (except for Health Information Administration and Dental Hygiene) prior to enrollment for accepted applicants.
Satisfaction of legislative requirements on the history and constitutions of the United States and Georgia is required for graduation. Students transferring from another University System of Georgia institution should satisfy this requirement prior to enrollment, but may be completed during your first semester at GHSU.
College of Nursing only:
SAT or ACT scores are required for ALL applicants regardless of age or education level. A minimum of 450 on the SAT Critical Reading section or 18 on the ACT English section is required for consideration. Average scores are much higher than the minimums. The only method GHSU accepts SAT or ACT scores are directly from the testing services. We will not accept scores received on high school or college transcripts. The Georgia Health Sciences University institutional code is 5406 for SAT scores or 0836 for ACT scores. These scores must be received prior to the application deadline to be considered.
Current CPR certification is required prior to enrollment for accepted applicants. CPR for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association is required.

If accepted, international students must submit documentation of personal funds before a Form I-20 Certificate of Eligibility can be issued.
Individual programs may require an interview. Applicants who qualify for an interview will be contacted by the program's admissions committee.

Providing false or incomplete information on this application or any of the documents supporting your application for admission can result in denial of admission, invalidation of an acceptance decision, or, following matriculation, administrative disenrollment or dismissal. Students are subject to disenrollment or dismissal for falsifying application information at any time during enrollment prior to graduation.
Follow carefully the instructions for completing each portion of the application. A final admissions decision cannot be made until your complete application is received. Be sure your e-mail address is correct, as we will use e-mail for communication throughout the admissions process. Once your application has been received and processed you should also use the online status check available on our website to review your application status on a regular basis.
Be sure the e-mail addresses for your references are correct. Once you submit your application an e-mail will be sent to them directing them to our website to submit an online reference on your behalf. The e-mail will include your name and the program for which you applied.
Deadlines for completed 2012 applications, including program start terms, are indicated below. Please note that most programs enroll new students only one term per year. Submitting your application and materials early will ensure that your application is complete by the posted application deadline. You may not receive an admissions decision until after the posted application deadline.

In accordance with Board of Regents Policy 4.1.6., all applicants for admission to Georgia Health Sciences University for fall 2011 or any academic semester thereafter, and who seek to be classified as in-state for tuition purposes, will be required to provide validation of residency and lawful presence in both the state of Georgia and the United States. Acceptance to the Georgia Health Sciences University is conditional until lawful presence is verified. ALL applicants must submit documentation that verifies his/her lawful presence in the United States at time of application to Admissions@georgiahealth.edu.
