Purpose

The GAcollege Alternative Loan is available to meet the needs of you and your family members, and offers flexible financing for undergraduate and graduate studies.

Eligibility

The GAcollege Alternative Loan is a credit-based loan. Borrowers must be considered credit worthy in order to be eligible for this loan program.
A loan program that is available to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in private and public colleges and universities.
The GAcollege Alternative Loan can also accommodate students who don't have an established credit history by offering the option of utilizing up to two co-borrowers who meet the program guidelines. The co-borrower(s) can be your parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends of the family, or any combination of such individuals.

Value

Students can borrow from $1,000 up to $25,000 for education-related expenses.
Maximum aggregate loan limit – $100,000.
Low monthly payments.
Principal deferment options for eligible borrowers.
Interest-only payments while in school.

Loan Disbursement

Depending on the type of loan that is approved, disbursements will be made to the borrower or co-payable to the borrower and the school.
