Last Entry... For Now
June 21, 2010
School is now finished. My Grade 10 year is done. My exams are over, and my stress is gone. Summer holidays have begun.
Looking back over the year, this was a good year. There were a few moments when I was quite stressed, but, all in all, it was fine. This year went by so fast, and I can't believe that I am going in to Grade 11 next year. If Grade 11 goes by as fast as this year, I'll be done high school in the blink of an eye and off to university.
Next year will be slightly different than this year. I will have to focus more on what I want to do for a career and where I want to go to school. It's important -- these are huge decisions that I have to talk over with my parents. I'll be getting my schedule for next year soon, and I'll be able to see if any of my friends are in my classes.
This year was fun, but my brain is definitely ready for a break. It's time to turn it off for a while and enjoy the summer weather. Have a great summer!
Counting Down

Next week I have my final exams. Next week is also the last week of school. School is loud and boisterous, with the end of the year coming up so quickly. All of my teachers have finished teaching. My life is filled with reviewing.
The weather has been dreary. I didn't mind so much because it helped me focus on studying. I have one more week. Those are the words that keep running through my mind. Nothing else really matters right now, except final exams and the end of the year.
School has a finishing feel to it. Students are loud. People are cleaning out their lockers. Things are going home. I can almost recycle all of my school work. Teachers now talk of nothing but final exams. Chatter in the hallways is now all about summer vacation. It feels like the end of the year.
One more week.
Studying and Reviewing
June 7, 2010
End of school is drawing nearer. Exams are coming closer. School is uneventful. At this point in the year, most teachers have finished teaching. Everything has now moved on to review. Day after day, class after class, all I seem to do is review.
As exams are drawing closer, I am focusing on studying. Most of my teachers have gone over what the set-up of their final exams is. Most of the exams are multiple choice and about 200 questions long. Once exams are finished, life should become peaceful again -- as peaceful as summer vacation ever gets anyway.
Besides exams, nothing exciting is happening. I walked in to the wrong classroom the other day. I wrote three tests, and I was in a dance performance for school. I organized a banquet for the school that is happening next week. I studied, I reviewed.
My life was very cookie cutter this week. I think that most of the school is doing just what I am: studying and reviewing. We have hope, though, that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. The end of school is drawing closer. The end of my Grade 10 year is looming over my head. I am almost free. I have almost finished another year of school. I am almost done studying and reviewing.
