Governor’s SAT Test Prep

The Governor's Office and the Georgia Department of Education provide high school students enrolled in Grades 9 through 12 free access to the Official SAT Online Course Link opens to new window administered by the College Board. This course offers interactive instruction organized into 18 lessons, six official practice tests and hundreds of practice questions with answers and explanations, automated essay scoring and personalized score reports.

Once you have registered in SAT Online you can work in the course from any computer with Internet access, 24/7. Your account will remain active until you graduate from high school. To create your free account in SAT Online:
  1. See your high school counselor to obtain an access code that will allow you to create your personal account in SAT Online.

  2. Log on at www.satonlinecourseschool.com Link opens to new window.

  3. Click on the “Register Now” link at the bottom of the Student Registration column on the left-hand side of the login screen. On the next screen you will be asked for your access (activation) code. Please note that it is case sensitive.

  4. Enter your access/activation code, click the submit button, and the College Board Sign-Up screen will appear.

  5. Click the Sign Up button Not a Member Yet? if you have never set up a College Board account. (If you already have a collegeboard.com account, log in using your collegeboard.com user name and password.)

  6. Follow the instructions to create your collegeboard.com profile for the SAT Online Course. In the future, you will use the user name and password that you have created during this registration process to log in whenever you return to work in the program. (i.e., the access/activation code is a one-time use code that only provides initial access to the registration; once registered you will no longer need it).

  7. You will be prompted to select your class(es) which can include any classes set up by teachers in your school or an independent study class. After completing your profile, click the submit button to proceed to The Official SAT Online Course™ home page.
